Is Kelkoo a shop?

No, we are not a shop. We compare shop prices on a wide range of products. We show you where on the web you can find what you're looking for and at what price. Once you decide you would like to buy a product, you click through directly to that shop's site. You will deal directly with that shop after that stage. If you have any problems with an order you should contact that shop directly.

Does Kelkoo search all shops on the web?

No. Efficiently comparing prices from all shops on the web would be very difficult. Instead, we work with a wide range of retailers who wish to appear on our service. If you are interested in goods listed and you click through to the retailer's site, the retailer pays us a small referral fee. There is no cost to you as a user.

If you can find a better price elsewhere, we'd love to hear it! We are constantly looking for new shops to join Kelkoo, and if we find a shop that has better offers than our current set, we contact them and try to include them on Kelkoo.

What does Kelkoo do if I have a problem with a shop listed on their site?

We've years of experience of dealing with online shops. We very rarely hear a bad word against the shops on Kelkoo, but we keep an eye on our customers' feedback. If we get complaints about a particular shop, we'll look into whether we should continue to list them or not and, if necessary, we can remove sites while they sort out problems at their end. If you have a complaint, you can report it to our customer service. If your complaint is about a claim or statement made in a listing which you think could be misleading or illegal, you can also report it to the Advertising Standards Authority at http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/how_to_complain/

Please note Kelkoo cannot enter into any discussions between yourself and a shop about goods you've purchased from them.

How frequently are the prices updated?

The prices on our site are updated at least daily and where possible more frequently. The shops we list promise us that all the information they provide about the product for sale, including the price, is accurate and up to date. They have a duty to update the information if it is inaccurate and it is very rare that the prices for a product will differ between our site and the shop's website. If you discover a discrepancy, please report it to us because we only wish to list stores that deliver on their promises.

What is included in the price displayed?

Shops on our site are required to display the cost of the item and the postage and packaging costs (P&P costs) separately. Prices displayed include any applicable taxes and fees.

What does the name 'Kelkoo' mean?

'Kelkoo' is a play on words from the French for 'what a bargain' - 'quel coup'. The Kelkoo HQ is in Paris but the name is used in all 10 Kelkoo countries.
